There’s also anticipation for potential reveals about Sony’s 2026 and beyond projects, including Sam Mendes’ highly awaited Beatles biopic series, Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, and the Legend of Zelda live-action movie, now officially set for March 26, 2027.

New Sony Movies Confirmed

  • Resident Evil – Directed by Zach Cregger.

CinemaCon attendees got a first look at Karate Kid: Legends, featuring two key scenes. In the first, we see the new Karate Kid, Lee, cautiously entering his dimly lit apartment. Sensing something is off, he grabs a pot for defense—only to be surprised by Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han, who playfully tests his reflexes. The second scene takes place in California, where Mr. Han visits an empty dojo, paying his respects to Mr. Miyagi. Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) arrives, and a tense conversation unfolds as Han asks Daniel to train Lee in New York. Daniel initially refuses, but Han insists, teasing that Daniel doesn’t really have a choice.
